Donetsk, Nov 27 - DAN. The Donetsk People’s Republic has implemented all the measures to eliminate violations in the Petrovskoye security zone,” DPR envoy to the Contact Group talks, the Republic’s Foreign Minister Natalia Nikonorova said on Wednesday.

“As the Republic’s violations were insignificant, we have implemented all the main measures according to schedule,” Nikonorova said. “The time remaining till December 4 gives us a better land reclamation opportunity in terms of mine clearance. We expect Ukraine to meet the deadline and fully honour its commitments.”

The schedule is considered as fully met after the OSCE Special Monitoring Mission to Ukraine verifies and confirms, in a special report, the completion of all the measures in the security zone.

The Petrovskoye village is located on the contact line some 40 kilometres south of Donetsk. Bogdanovka-Petrovskoye is one of the three pilot disengagement areas in Donbass, in accordance with the Framework Agreement signed by the Contact Group participants.  The conflicting parties disengaged back in October 2016, but later on, Ukrainian troops returned to their positions. It was only on November 11 that the sides fully withdrew their units.*jk
