Donetsk, Sep 20 - DAN. The Donetsk People’s Republic Central Election Commission obligated foreign observers wishing to monitor the upcoming parliamentary and Head of Republic election in the DPR to register by November 5, 2018, CEC chairwoman Olga Pozdnyakova told reporters at a press briefing in Donetsk on Thursday.

“For accreditation as a foreign observer, the person who meets the procedure requirements, submits their application, a copy of the invitation and ID and questionnaire of a standard type to the CEC,” Pozdnyakova said. “The registration procedure has to be completed by 18:00 on November 5, 2018.”

The CEC will check the document data within two working day following submission and issue the international observer’s card to approved applicants. The international observer’s monitoring mission begins from the registration date and ends on the date of the official publication of the DPR parliamentary and Head of Republic election results.

On Thursday, the CEC held its fifth session. The following documents were approved: the procedure to review complains and statements sent to CEC, the election campaign procedure at the DPR early parliamentary and Head of Republic election, the procedure for accreditation and activities of international observers and the procedure for registration and operation of official observers.

On September 7, the DPR parliament set November 11 as the date of the parliamentary and Head of Republic election, and appointed the Central Election Commission.*jk
