Donetsk, Jan 18 – DAN. DPR ombudswoman Daria Morozova said that the video conference of humanitarian subgroup that had been scheduled for today was cancelled as Ukraine's special representative Viktor Medvedchuk was no able to participate thus rendering the talks meaningless.

"The fact that Mr. Medvedchuk cannot participate in the video conference, and the fact that Darka Olifer (press secretary of Ukraine's rep in the Contact Group Leonid Kuchma) announced mutual agreement was achieved to re-schedule the talks for the week, which is not true, - lead us to a conclusion that Kiev disrupts negotiations over POW swap again. "

She added that under the circumstances DPR decided it was unsuitable to hold a video link.

"I have sent an official letter to the Coordinator of the humanitarian subgroup of OSCE Mr. Toni Frisch notifying him of the fact that holding the conference today, January 18, was meaningless, and citing the reasons for the abovementioned."

Morozova insisted that  on January 18 sides should hold video talks on prisoners exchange after the meeting of the Contact Group in Minsk on January 16, saying Mr. Medvedchul should participate. *ot
