Donetsk, Nov 1 – DAN. The official website of the Donetsk People’s Republic has published DPR head Alexander Zakharchenko’s decree appointing Alexei Kulemzin acting Donetsk mayor.

“I hereby appoint Alexei Kulemzin acting head of Donetsk administration starting 17 October 2016,” according to the document.

Zakharchenko’s another decree No 353 relieved previous Donetsk mayor Igor Martynov of his duties appointing him deputy chief of staff of the DPR Head administration.

The documents came into effect from the date of signing on 14 October 2016.

Igor Martynov has been Donetsk mayor since October 2014.

Alexei Kulemzin was born in Donetsk on 13 June, 1974. He graduated from the Donetsk State University with a degree in economics and production management. In 2000 he graduated from the Donetsk State Technical University as Master of Arts, Civil Service. A Ph.D. in Economics since 2011, he began his career back in 1989. He worked at the Donetsk regional administration from May 1998 through 2014 as investment and foreign trade supervisor. From 2014, he was director of the Donelektroavtotrans transport agency run by the Donetsk administration.
