Donetsk, Jul 19 – DAN. Ukrainian army keeps shelling Donbass and the situation on the contact line remains tense, the DPR Head Denis Pushilin said.

“On July 18 Ukrainian armed formations targeted Veseloye again using 120 mm and 82 mm mortars, grenade launchers and small arms. Kindergartens sustained direct hits. The shelling also caused human victims: an elderly woman died in hospital as she was injured.”

“What happened proves that the new Ukrainian president Zelensky is unable to secure peace; he is either lacking control over the army or deliberately follows the path of terror against Donbass people,” Pushilin’s statement reads.

“Ukraine’s actions give grounds to doubt that on July 21 they shall commit to ceasefire agreements.

“We call on the Ukrainian side to stop killing Donbass people,” he said.
