Donetsk, Feb 20 - DAN. The reports alleging a ban on DPR residents’ travel to Ukraine from 1 March 2018 are not true and aim to unsettle the situation in the Republic, DPR Head Alexander Zakharchenko’s press service said on Tuesday.
“Social media and Ukraine mass media web resources are disseminating false Decree No 58 allegedly issued by DPR Head which places a three-month ban on DPR residents’ travel to Ukraine from 1 March 2018. We officially state that this decree is a fake and that its purpose is to destabilise the situation in our country,” the press service said.
Earlier, Zakharchenko signed Decree No 363 which restricted travel to Ukraine for certain groups of citizens such as civil officers, prosecutors, interior ministry personnel and servicemen. The document is available on official DPR website.
“The Republic's leadership has issued no additional instructions on this account. All the attempts to disseminate fake decrees are provocations,” Zakharchenko administration’s press service said. *jk
