Donetsk, Sep 11 - DAN. The number of Donetsk People’s Republic residents who obtained Russian passports under simplified procedure has reached 15,800, the DPR Interior Ministry Migration Service told the Donetsk News Agency on Wednesday.
“As many as 15,800 DPR residents got Russian passports in a fast track procedure,” the Migration Service said.
As of now, 36,695 DPR residents have applied for Russian citizenship since the service became available on May 7.
The first Russian passports were issued to DPR residents on June 14. DPR residents have to travel to Russia’s Rostov region to collect their passports.*jk
