Donetsk, Sep 27 — DAN. Ukrainian artillery strikes have caused power outages in several districts of Donetsk, including the city center, Donetsk mayor Alexey Kulemzin said on Tuesday.

“City power supply facilities sustained damage due to fighting. Parts of the the Voroshilovsky, Kievsky and Kuibyshevsky districts remain without electricity, ” Kulemzin said.

Voltage fluctuations that began in the Voroshilovsky district at 15:30 were followed by a blackout. At present, power supply to the center has been restored but Kievsky district residents said that some buildings had no electricity. On top of that, a number of users reported internet connection interruptions.

On September 23 through September 26, voting in the referendum took place in public space of residential areas. Voter turnout after four days reached 86.89 percent. On September 27, voting took place at polling stations.

The district election commissions have already begun to count votes.*jk
