Donetsk, Dec 6 — DAN. Four projectiles fired by Ukrainian forces have hit facilities of the Stirol chemical factory in Gorlovka, town administration head Ivan Prikhodko said on Tuesday.

“The boiler shop and the ultra-and nanofiltration unit have been damaged, ” Prikhodko said. “Overall, four Ukrainian projectiles hit the factory premises.”

“Stirol” is a key chemical industry company in Donbass. It was one of Europe’s largest producers of mineral fertilizers for a long time accounting for 3 percent of the world’s exports of ammonia and other chemicals and compounds thereof. The plant suspended operation as fighting broke out in the region.*jk
