Donetsk, Feb 21 – DAN. The DPR has announced a state-wide emergency as more than 20,000 residents have no access to water following Ukrainian shelling, the Ministry of Emergencies said.
"Following the disruption in the first-level pumping station of the Yuzhnodonbasskiy water duct work and halt of centralized water supply in the Republic, the state-wide emergency has been announced."
More than 21,000 residents of Dokuchayevsk and Elenovka and 50-plus social facilities are without water.
The Ministry of Emergencies has organized an inter-ministerial 24-hour HQ to deliver water to the population and boiler houses.
The re-connection of the water mains to underground sources is ongoing. *ot
