Donetsk, Dec 6 — DAN. Six civilians have been killed in Ukrainian rocket artillery strikes at the center of Donetsk, city mayor Alexey Kulemzin said on Tuesday.

“According to preliminary reports, six civilians have been killed in Donetsk today, the number of wounded is being updated, ” Kulemzin said.

Several people were wounded in the strike at the “Yellow” mall in Artyom Street. It has many shops including a large merchandise market. An enemy missile punctured the roof of the building killing a woman. Other reports said that missiles hit the South Bus Terminal area, “Zolotoye Koltso” mall, an apartment house in Dzerzhinsky Avenue and a building in Fyodor Zaitsev Street, he added.

Videos of the Donetsk City Youth Center posted on the Internet show the body of a woman lying next to the building and an apparently lifeless body inside. The building was seriously damaged. A pre-school institution in Cherlyuskintsev Street and a school in Dzerzhinsky Avenue were damaged.

Kiev forces used multiple rocket launchers to shell central Donetsk three times in a day. Strikes were delivered at the areas of the Central (Indoor) market, Donbass Arena Stadium, Transfiguration Cathedral, “Tsentvr-Plaza” business center, Museum of Arts, apartment buildings, a gas pipe, trade pavilions, cars, and road infrastructure.
