Donetsk, Jul 8 — DAN. Shakhtyorsk authorities have evacuated people from large residential areas next to the scene of last night explosions, town administration officials told the Donetsk News Agency on Friday.
“All’s quiet in the town now; the road to Shakhtyorsk is not blocked; people were evacuated from the densely populated Neighborhood 7 and Zhuravlyovka to safer districts overnight; transportation was provided, ” a Shakhtyorsk official said.
A series of explosions ripped through Shakhtyorsk and a fire broke out following a strike at the town by Ukrainian armed formations last night. The Donetsk People’s Republic Interior Ministry press service told DAN that the road to the town had been temporarily blocked. Traffic has resumed by now.*jk
