Donetsk, Feb 19 - DAN. Russia’s Investigative Committee opened criminal proceedings over Kiev army strikes at Dokuchayevsk civil infrastructure in which an elderly resident had been wounded.

“On February 16, 2019, Ukrainian army and National Guard servicemen delivered aimed small arms fire at civil infrastructure facilities, which were not military targets, in the town of Dokuchayevsk of the self-proclaimed Donetsk People’s Republic,” the SK reported on its website. ”On February 18, 2019, Ukrainian artillery shelled civil infrastructure in the Donetskiy township of the self-proclaimed Lugansk People’s Republic.”

Two civilians were wounded in these strikes, a 70-year-old woman and a 49-year-old man, it added.

“The Investigative Committee opened criminal cases under Article 356, Part 1 of the Russian Federation Criminal Code (abuse of civilians and use of means and methods in the armed conflict banned by an international treaty),” the SK said.

“The actions (by Ukrainian forces - eds Donetsk News Agency) were apparently aimed at killing or inflicting grievous bodily harm upon an unlimited number of civilians living in south-eastern Ukraine who were not involved in the armed conflict,” Russian investigators said.

The SK is currently taking measures to gather complete information on the above crimes and the persons behind them.*jk*pp
