Donetsk, Mar 10 – DAN. DPR Supreme Court registered over a thousand cases in 2017, 754 of them have been heard, the court press service said.

"In 2017 DPR Supreme Court registered 1,323 cases from trial courts, court of cassation and supervising agencies. As of March 9, 754 cases have been heard, that is 57 pc of all the cases accepted," the report says.

Of all the cases heard, 302 were criminal, 368 civil, 21 concerned administrative offenses and 63 arbitration cases.

Trial courts and arbitrary court were established in DPR by the Council of Ministers decision dated 22 October 2014 No.40-2 On The Court System. The first 44 judges were appointed by DPR Head Alexander Zakharchenko on 9 January 2015. Currently a court of appeal does not exist in the Republic. *ot
