Donetsk, Sep 16 - DAN. Telmanovo Regional Power Grid specialists came under mortar fire during repair effort in the south of the Donetsk People’s Republic, the DPR Fuel and Energy Ministry press service reported on Thursday.
“A repair team of the regional electricity supply company came under fire from Ukrainian armed formations in the morning as they were restoring power to Novolaspa customers,” the report said.
A few minutes before the attack, the electricians who had replaced the power transformer, heard the sound of a drone.
The shelling began right after the equipment had been installed. There were no casualties. Power was restored to the settlement despite the incident.
Earlier on Thursday, the DPR Office at the Joint Centre for Control and Coordination (JCCC) reported that houses and cars had been damaged in Yelenovka in shelling by Ukrainian forces. *jk
