Donetsk, Jun 13 - DAN. DPR law-enforcers detained first deputy revenue and tax minister Alexander Mikhailov on suspicion of corruption.
“First deputy revenue and tax minister Alexander Mikhailov has been removed from office and is under investigation,” the Ministry reported on its website. “He is facing charges of taking large bribes and exceeding his office powers,” the report said. The official was detained on Monday evening.
An investigation is underway. No further details have been provided.
DPR Revenue and Tax Minister Alexander Timofeyev does not rule out that other persons involved in corruption schemes might be exposed in the course of the investigation, according to the Ministry’s press service.*jk
