Donetsk, Oct 16 - DAN. Russia’s Investigative Committee opened two criminal cases over Ukrainian servicemen’s strikes at Donetsk on October 12 and the Shakhty 6/7 settlement in the outskirts of Gorlovka on October 14.
“The Investigative Committee opened criminal cases under Article 356, Part 1 of the Russian Federation Criminal Code (abuse of civilians and use of means and methods in the armed conflict banned by an international treaty),” the SK said on its website on Tuesday.
On October 12, Ukrainian army units shelled the Troyanda gardeners partnership in Donetsk’s Kirovskiy district wounding a civilian. On October 14, an inmate was killed at penitentiary No 57 located in Gorlovka’s Shakhty 6/7 settlement when it came under Ukrainian forces fire.
“The Investigative Committee continues to record facts of Ukrainian forces’ criminal activity in Donbass,” the SK said. They routinely violate the protocol on the ceasefire in southeaster Ukraine and the corresponding memorandum and the Geneva Convention relative to the Protection of Civilian Persons in Time of War and 2nd Protocol Additional.
The SK said that it was currently taking measures to gather complete information on the above crimes and the persons behind them.*jk
