Donetsk, Oct 10 – DAN. A barman from Kiev-controlled territories has been sentenced to 14 years in prison in the DPR for working for Ukrainian special services, said the Republic's Prosecutor General's office.

"The Court Martial acting as a chamber of the DPR Supreme Court has found K. guilty of crimes under Art. 29, p. 3, Art. 321 (Espionage), Art. 141 (Illegal Turnover of Special Hardware Intended for Private Obtainment of Information) under the DPR Criminal Code," the press statement said.

A resident of Druzhkovka was working as a barman in one of the Donetsk cafes. In October 2016 he visited Kiev-controlled Krasnoarmeisk, where he was recruited by the Ukraine's Security Service members and tasked with collecting information at his place of work.

"In January 2017 the SBU members passed him an audio recording device, which K. installed under the table and turned on."

Later he passed the recordings to the SBU during another trip to Krasnoarmeisk.
