Donetsk, Aug 9 – DAN. DPR authorities investigate 2,018 criminal cases against Ukrainian officials and armed formations, said deputy head of the department for investigations of crimes against the peace and security of mankind of the Investigative Directorate of the Prosecutor General's Office Viktor Gavrilov.
"As of today, the department investigates 2,018 criminal cases concerning crimes of Ukrainian officials, army and other militarized formations of Ukraine," he said.
This year alone, 504 such cases have been launched.
The investigative authority has already identified 30 high-rank Ukrainian officers who ordered to target the Republic.
Russia filed its first interstate complaint against Ukraine with the ECHR, based on Article 33 of the Convention for Protection of Human Rights and Fundamental Freedoms. The case concerns the Russian Government’s allegation of an administrative practice in Ukraine of, among other things, killings, abductions, forced displacement, interference with the right to vote, restrictions on the use of the Russian language and attacks on Russian embassies and consulates. *ot
