Donetsk, Apr 6 - DAN. The Donetsk People’s Republic Prosecutor General’s Office instituted criminal proceedings against Ukrainian army brigade commander Gennady Shapovalov, complicit in the death of a child in the Alexadrovka settlement northeast of Yenakiyevo, the PGO press service reported on Tuesday.
“The PGO Investigation Department has filed and is investigating a criminal case against Ukrainian army 59th Separate Motorized Infantry Brigade commander Gennady Shapovalov and his subordinates over the commission of the crime covered by DPR Criminal Code Article 299, Part 2, Item 6. These actions qualify as the commission of an act of terror,” the report said. “The investigators are currently obtaining evidence.”
A preliminary probe found that on April 2, an unmanned aerial vehicle of Ukrainian armed formations dropped a bomb on a residential area in Alexandrovka. A five-year-old boy suffered fatal multiple shrapnel wounds to his body, limbs and head. His grandmother, 67, suffered concussion and shrapnel wounds to the head.
