Donetsk, Mar 14 – DAN. Yasinovataya Engineering Plant on Tuesday ran trials of its upgraded tunnelling machine, DPR Industry and Trade Ministry press service said.

“On 14 March, acting Industry and Trade Minister Alexei Granovskiy visited Yasinovataya Engineering Plant where he attended acceptance test of the modernize tunnel boring machine KSP-35,” the press service said.

The equipment is intended for mechanical face crushing and rock mass loading. The machine, developed in wartime, surpasses earlier models, according to the manufacturer.

The first KSP-35 rolled off the assembly line in 2016. In early 2017, Yasinovataya Engineering Plant shipped one unit to Russia’s Kuzbass coal-mining region.
The Plant is leading producer of tunnel boring machines or moles in the post-Soviet space. It also manufactures mining equipment. Before the Kiev offensive, it exported its products to Russia, Kazakhstan, Georgia, Poland, Belarus, Slovakia, Turkey, India, China, Argentina, Egypt and Germany.*jk
