Torez coal mine launches new 300,000-tons-capacity coal face

Donetsk, Apr 10 – DAN. Progress state coal mine has launched a new coal face, the Ministry of Coal and Energy said.

"Progress coal mine of the state coal mining enterprise Torezantratsit has launched a new coal face on  the h8 floor," the press service said.

The stope length is 170 m, extraction panel is 700 m, estimated capacity is up to 300,000 tons. It is the second active face in the mine and is expected to double the output of the mine.

Progress coal mine has been operating since 1973 producing A- rank Anthracite coal.

DPR is planning to launch up to eight new coal faces in 2020 depending on the coal market situation. *ot
