Donetsk, Oct 5 — DAN. The Russian Federal Tax Service has opened its offices in the Donetsk and Lugansk People’s Republics and the Zaporozhye and Kherson regions, the FTS reported on Wednesday.

“The new offices will mostly function as business registration centers for the time being and consult entrepreneurs on taxation in the transition period, ” the report said. “FTS technology provides a seamless transition for business to the maximum extent possible.”

The operating companies will automatically be added to the Single State Register of Legal Entities. Legal entities have to ensure compliance of their founding documents with Russian law and supply details (such as nature of business, information on participants etc) by the end of 2023.

Individual entrepreneurs only need two documents for registration, while natural persons are registered automatically using the data supplied by the Interior Ministry data after the issue of passport.

The Russian Tax Code immediately applies to new companies and business people registered at FTS offices in the new Russian regions. For the legal entities and entrepreneurs entered into registers earlier, the Russian Tax Code will apply starting 2023. The existing tax system will continue to operate until next year.

Additional consultations are available at new FTS offices and on the FTS website. The registration of businesses in the new regions is free of charge (no state tax is paid) both for operating and new businesses.*jk
