Donetsk, Aug 9 - DAN. Mobile operator Vodafone’s operation in the Donetsk People’s Republic has been disrupted because of an accident in the Lugansk People’s Republic, the DPR Communications Ministry press service reported on Thursday.

“Due to the Vodafone network accident in the territory of the Lugansk People’s Republic, the Ukrainian mobile operator service is unavailable in the DPR and the LPR,” the Ministry said.

Donbass experienced Vodafone problems in mid-January 2018 after a trunk line accident in the Elenovka area. The network was down in the DPR for more than three and half months. The signal was restored on April 27. Vodafone has suffered regular outages since. A major failure occurred on July 20. Meanwhile, Minsk negotiators are mulling foreign specialists’ assistance in repairing Vodafone networks in the Donbass Republics.*jk
