Donetsk, Nov 22 — DAN. Free Economic Zone (FEZ) resident enterprises plan to invest 7.4 billion rubles to develop the manufacturing sector of the Donetsk People’s Republic, regional authorities said.
“The FEZ is focused on attracting investments to help existing companies and create new ones, ” the press service of the regional Economic Development Ministry told the Donetsk News Agency.
DAN earlier reported that the DPR Economic Development Ministry would review nine FEZ investment projects worth 4.4 billion rubles.
In late June, Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a federal law on launching a free economic zone in the Donetsk and Lugansk People’s Republic and Zaporozhye and Kherson regions. The FEZ will operate until January 31, 2050. The Territorial Development Fund has been appointed the FEZ managing company.*jk
