Donetsk, Sep 6 - DAN. The Donbass Republics plan to implement a big pension and wage rise and create dozens of thousands of new jobs within three years, the Donetsk and Lugansk People’s Republics leaders, Denis Pushilin and Leonid Pasechnik said in a joint statement on Monday which complemented the declaration adopted at the inter-state meeting.
“To ensure the welfare of our citizens by means of stabilization, rebuilding and modernization of the regional economy, the important programs of socio-economic development of the DPR and the LPR for 2022-20234 were adopted today,” the statement said.
The Republics plan to increase the average monthly wage by 2.3 times to 35,000 rubles and the average pension by 1.3 times to 13,800 rubles. In the public sector, the average wage is expected to reach 29,000 rubles. The programs also envision business support measures to create 70,000 jobs.
The housing certificate program is due to be launched starting 2022.
According to the joint statement, the programs embrace all spheres of public life, and envision the development of the health care system, medical equipment upgrades, rebuilding of the housing stock and infrastructure damaged by strikes, modernization of utilities systems, development of transport networks etc.
Earlier on Monday, the DPR and the LPR released a declaration on the results of the top level meeting and establishment of common economic space. It was followed by a joint statement of the DPR and LPR leaders. The full text of the two documents is available in the Official Information section.*jk
