DPR expects 40 pc grains harvest growth y-o-y

Donetsk, Aug 1 — DAN. The DPR will be fully provided with grains this year, including wheat, the grain crop is expected to exceed last year’s figures by 40 pc, the DPR Ministry of Agricultural Policy and Food said.

“According to preliminary estimates of the Ministry, the expected gross harvest of crops, wheat in particular, will grow by more than 40 pc year-on-year,” the statement reads.

The Republic’s demand for grains will be fully covered, the statement adds.

Last year, DPR farmers produced 389,000 tons of early grains and leguminous cultures (in the original recorded weight). *ot
