Donetsk, Dec 11 – DAN. Donbass-Agromash agricultural equipment manufacturer plans to launch domestic production of spares, enterprise director Andrei Lerman told Donetsk News Agency.
“Many farmers lack agricultural equipment spares. We plan to make up for shortages,” Lerman said.
He said Donbass-Agromash had conducted a monitoring to compose the list of vital spares the farmers needed today.
DPR Food and Agricultural Policy Ministry confirmed that the Republic’s agribusinesses were experiencing shortages of spares for field machinery.
“They are hard to obtain and quite expensive,” the Ministry’s press service said, adding that domestically-produced spare parts would improve the situation dramatically.
Earlier reports said DPR’s only agricultural machinery manufacturing enterprise located in Donetsk’s frontline area had resumed operation.
According to the Industry and Trade Ministry, Donbass-Agromash’s monthly output reaches 20 machines. At present, the company manufactures 15 types of products.
Donbass-Agromash plans to supply agricultural equipment to DPR and LPR agri-businesses. In the future, it will consider export options. *jk
