DPR Central Bank issues over 855,000 payment cards to residents in three years

Donetsk, Aug 10 - DAN. The Donetsk People’s Republic Central Bank has issued more than 855,000 payment cards to the Republic’s residents since mid-2015, the regulator's press service told the Donetsk News Agency on Friday.

“As of today, the Central Bank has put into circulation (activated) more than 855,000 payment cards,” a press service employee said.

These include payroll cards, student cards, pension cards, customised cards and welfare cards.

The Bank test-launched the payment card system in mid-June 2015 as it began to tune ATMs, payment terminal and other banking equipment. The test was successfully completed in August 2015.*jk
