Donetsk, Mar 24 — DAN. The Donetsk People’s Republic authorities have introduced amendments to Budget 2023 to pay compensations to residents who lost their homes or other property as a result of hostilities. The document has come into force, the DPR parliament press service reported on Friday.
The amendments create a more than 2.7-billion-ruble budget deficit; the original budget version had zero deficit, the press service reported. DPR Acting Finance Minister Yana Chausova said that that the renewed budget had to provide for 2.6 billion rubles worth of compensations for homes or essential property lost or damaged in the armed conflict.
The parliament also approved the allocations for monthly maternity benefits worth 224.9 million rubles, as well as the compensation for financial losses sustained by the Voda Donbassa, Donbassteploenergo and Donetsk Railways utilities.
The DPR’s Budget 2023 revenues have increased by 218 million rubles, Chausova said.
The DPR parliament has approved the budget amendments on March 23.*jk
