Donetsk, Nov 8 — DAN. Donetsk People’s Republic farmers have harvested late grain crops on an area of some 15,000 hectares meeting 74.7 percent of the target, the regional Agricultural Policy and Food Ministry press service reported on Tuesday.
“As of November 8, agribusinesses have brought in 60,000 tons of maize, 753 tons of millet and 58 tons of buckwheat. By mid October, DPR farmers had harvested 50 percent of late grain crops. The average yield was 43.9 centners per hectare, up 14 centners year-on-year, ” the report said.
Earlier reports said that the DPR agricultural sector had produced more than 720,000 tons of grain and pulses after harvesting summer crops. *jk
