Donetsk, Sep 6 — DAN. Farmers in the Donetsk People’s Republic have increased meat, milk and edible egg production thanks to state support of agribusiness, the press service of the regional Agricultural Policy and Food Ministry told the Donetsk News Agency.

“The state support provided to milk, poultry and edible egg producers enabled them to use it for stepping up production, ” the press service said. Live cattle and poultry production increased by 13 percent, milk by 2.18 times and eggs (from all egg-laying poultry birds) by 4.5 percent.

The statistics for 2023 will be available after the end of the year Last year; farmers purchased 27 pieces of machinery and equipment using state support measures last year.

Earlier this month, reports said that the first ten agribusinesses had received 128 million rubles worth of subsidies since the beginning of 2023. Overall, more than 100 requests for state support have been submitted.
