Donetsk, Nov 29 — DAN. The Donetsk-based Petrovsky Machine Building Plant (PMZ) has launched cooperation with some 30 enterprises to produce acoustic systems, said PMZ Acting Director Sergei Tkachenko.
“We’ve selected the manufacturer of audio system boxes, brought together the people capable of putting together quality speakers and kept the tuning operations and testing for ourselves, ” Tkachenko told the Donetsk News Agency. “The project involves 28 Russian companies: approximately 85 percent of them are in the DPR; the rest are in the Southern Federal District.”
The PMZ also has a supplier in St Petersburg, he added.
The plant is currently undergoing re-registration in order to enter the Russian legal environment. It hopes for state support measures to increase the order portfolio and boost capacity. As of today, the company is ready to produce some 20 audio equipment sets per month.
Over a year, the PMZ produced about 50 acoustic systems based on revived vacuum tube technology, which are cheaper than western counterpart equipment.*jk
