Donetsk, Jul 10 — DAN. Farmers in Donbass have begun to harvest crops, the press service of the regional Ministry of Agricultural Policy and Food reported on Monday.

“Agribusinesses will bring in grain and leguminous crops on an area of 217,500 hectares. The readiness of harvesting equipment is estimated at 84.3 percent, ” the press service said.

It is planned to use 3,100 pieces of equipment including 2,000 tractors and more than 600 combine harvesters. There are no problems with fertilizers, fuel or lubricants, the Ministry said.

Earlier reports said that a Russian company would help lease agricultural machinery to farmers in the new regions.*jk
