Donetsk, Oct 6 — DAN. Two dozen companies from the Donbass Republics and the Zaporozhye and Kherson regions have joined the Free Economic Zone (FEZ), Director of the Territorial Development Fund (FRT) Nataila Yeremenko said on Friday.
“The FRT has created a portal to inform potential investors about the Free Economic Zone and help them receive the FEZ member status, ” Yeremenko said at the 15th Golden Spring agro-industrial exhibition. “As of today, 265 enterprises have registered on the portal.”
FEZ currently has 20 participants from the Donetsk and Lugansk People’s Republics and the Zaporozhye region. FRT offices in Donetsk, Lugansk and Melitopol welcome potential members.
In late June, Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a federal law on launching a free economic zone in the Donetsk and Lugansk People’s Republics and Zaporozhye and Kherson regions. The FEZ will operate until January 31, 2050. The Territorial Development Fund was appointed the FEZ managing company.*jk
