Donetsk, Aug 7 – DAN. Ukrainian army has begun direct preparations for an offensive against the DPR, the Republic's People's Militia said.
"Our intelligence has received reports on Ukrainian forward units are on high operational alert and reserve units are moving towards the front on the Mariupol direction," the report reads.
The following armed formations are reported to advance in vicinity of Ternovoy, Kirovo, Andreyevka: 406th brigade of Ukrainian Navy; 36th and 35th marine brigades have been deployed to the contact line and are in battle formation.
"The Azov regiment and 56th motorized brigade units has been put on high alert. They are moving to a staging area in the northern part of the city, and ready to relocate to the frontline."
Operations involving unmanned aerial vehicles have intensified.
"Our units have downed two UAVs," the report says.
"We consider the abovementioned actions as a direct preparation to active military action," the Republic's People's Militia said.*ot
