Ukrainian forces violate ceasefire twice in 24 hours

Donetsk, Aug 12 – DAN.  Ukrainian forces violated the ceasefire twice within 24 hours, the DPR mission to the Joint Centre for Control and Coordination (JCCC) said.

Shakhta Trudovskaya and Dzerzhinskoye were targeted with automatic grenade launchers.

The JCCC also reported violations of Additional Measures to Strengthen the Ceasefire at the Ukrainian side as engineers carried out works involving blasts, and relocation of weapons was reported, while such activities are banned under the article on prohibition of any offensive operations.

The abovementioned provocations were reported outside Novomikhailovka, Vodyanoye, Shumy, Maryinka and Novgorodskoye.

The Additional Measures to Strengthen the Ceasefire were signed at the Contact Group meeting on July 22 to reinforce and control the indefinite ceasefire in effect since July 21, 2019, the latest in the series of more than 20 reconfirmation and announcements of the “silence regime”.
