Donetsk, Sep 12 - DAN. Ukrainian army units violated the ceasefire 23 times over the past 24 hours, firing 187 rounds of ammunition at Donetsk People’s Republic frontline areas, head of the DPR Mission to the Joint Centre for Control and Coordination Ruslan Yakubov said on Wednesday.
“Over the past 24 hours, Ukrainian forces violated the ceasefire 23 times expending 187 rounds of ammunition,” Yakubov said.
Ukrainian army units delivered strikes at the airport, the Spartak village, the Trudovskiye and Staromikhailovka neighbourhoods in the outskirts of Donetsk, Gorlovka and its suburban villages of Zaitsevo, Dolomitnoye, Bairak and Gagarin Colliery, the Mineralnoye village outside Yasinovataya and the Sakhanka, Novaya Tavriya, Leninskoye and Kominternovo villages in southern DPR, he added.
A house at 39 Zheleznodorozhnya Street in the Dolomitnoye village in northern Gorlovka burnt down as a result of the shelling.
The amount of expended ammunition of calibre up to 12.7mm is not added to overall daily statistics.
A new comprehensive, lasting and indefinite ceasefire came into force in Donbass at 00:01 on August 29, 2018. It was agreed by the the Contact Group participants in Minsk ahead of the new school year and was dubbed “school ceasefire.” *jk
