Donetsk, Sep 14 - DAN. Ukrainian army units violated the ceasefire 17 times over the past 24 hours firing 71 rounds of ammunition at the Donetsk People’s Republic, Head of the DPR Mission to the Joint Centre for Control and Coordination Ruslan Yakubov said on Friday.

“Over the past 24 hours, Ukrainian forces violated the ceasefire 17 times expending 71 rounds of ammunition,” Yakubov said.

The Trudovskiye, Alexandrovka and Mineralnoye neighbourhoods in the outskirts of Donetsk, Gorlovka and its suburban villages of Golmovskiy, Gagarin Colliery and Verkhnetoretskoye Nizhneye, Dokuchayevsk and the Sakhanka, Kominternovo and Novaya Tavriya villages in southern DPR were targeted with 82mm mortars, infantry fighting vehicle cannons, anti-tank rocket propelled grenade launchers (RPG), recoilless guns (SPG) and large calibre machine guns, he added.

The amount of expended ammunition of calibre up to 12.7mm is not added to overall daily statistics.

Earlier on Friday, reports said that a house in the Kominternovo village in southern DPR was damaged in shelling by Ukrainian forces.

A new comprehensive, lasting and indefinite ceasefire came into force in Donbass at 00:01 on August 29, 2018. It was agreed by the the Contact Group participants in Minsk ahead of the new school year and was dubbed “school ceasefire.” *jk
