Donetsk, May 15 — DAN. The situation on the front line remains under control as Russian servicemen continue to make gains, Donetsk People’s Republic Acting Head Denis Pushilin said on Monday.

“Indeed, we see greater activity along the whole contact line; it is not the counteroffensive which has been spoken so much about, ” Pushilin told “Russia 24” TV channel. “We see that the enemy is trying to probe our defenses, carry out reconnaissance-in-force operations in certain areas, but we had to prepare for that. Of course, we’re ready; we even see certain advance in the responsibility zone of 1st Army Corps.”

Russian army units have improved their positions in the areas of Avdeyevka and Pervomaiskyoe and on the Krasnogorovka axis. The enemy has been unsuccessful on the Maryinka axis in the past few days, whereas Russian units have improved their positions.  The “Wagner” private military company is making gains in Artyomovsk in the attempt to complete the liberation of the town, the DPR leader said.*jk
