Donetsk, Sep 26 - DAN. Ukrainian armed formations planted 88 anti-tank mines in the disengagement zone outside Donetsk, the Donetsk People’s Republic People’s Militia reported on Thursday.
“We have detected the planting of extra 88 anti-tank TM-62 mines by the enemy; of those 50 were planted in the area between the Bogdanovka and Viktorovka settlements and another 36 across the road in the Petrovskoye village,” the report said.
Bogdanovka-Petrovskoye is one of the three pilot disengagement areas in Donbass, in accordance with the Framework Agreement signed by the Contact Group participants in Minsk in September 2016. Each security area measures at least 2 kilometres wide and 2 kilometres deep.
In Petrovskoye, the conflicting parties carried out the disengagement in October 2016, but shortly thereafter, Kiev returned its troops to the withdrawal area. Donetsk demands that Kiev restore the parity and pull back its forces.*jk
