Donetsk, Sep 24 - DAN. Kiev forces planted more than two dozen anti-tank mines in the Bogdanovka-Petrovskoye disengagement area outside Donetsk, the Donetsk People’s Republic People’s Militia said on Tuesday citing intelligence reports.
“The enemy continues to organise positions in the zone of disengagement of forces and hardware No 3,” the DPR militia said. “The Republic’s intelligence detected the planting of 22 TM-62 anti-tank mines on a stretch between Bogdanovka and Viktorovka.”
Also, the Ukrainian army secretly deployed two armoured personnel carriers in a Kiev-controlled wooded strip in the Bogdanovka area.
Bogdanovka-Petrovskoye is one of the three pilot disengagement areas in Donbass, in accordance with the Framework Agreement signed by the Contact Group participants in Minsk in September 2016. Each withdrawal area measures at least 2 kilometres wide and 2 kilometres deep.
In Petrovskoye, the conflicting parties’ units disengaged in October 2016, but shortly thereafter, Kiev returned troops to the area. Donetsk demands that Kiev restore the parity and pull back its troops.*jk
