Donetsk, Mar 29 - DAN. Ukrainian army units in Donbass have been ordered to augment fire along the contact line in the runup to the “Easter ceasefire” due to come into effect at 00:01 on March 30, DPR Operations Command deputy commander Eduard Basurin said on Thursday.
“We received information that “anti-terrorist operation” commander Mikhail Zabrodskiy had ordered all formations on the contact line to intensify fire at our positions,” Basurin said.
On March 26, the office of the Special Representative of the OSCE in Ukraine and in the Trilateral Contact Group (TCG) announced a comprehensive, lasting and indefinite ceasefire in Donbass effective from 00:01 on March 30. In this connection, DPR envoy to the Minsk talks Denis Pushilin expressed the hope that it would help stabilise the situation in the region.
