Donetsk, Dec 29 - DAN. Ukrainian army units violated the ceasefire seven times over the past 24 hours firing 80 rounds of ammunition at Donetsk People’s Republic areas, the DPR Office at the Joint Centre for Control and Coordination (JCCC) reported on Tuesday.

“Over the past 24 hours, Ukrainian forces violated the ceasefire seven times expending 80 rounds of ammunition,” the report said.

The amount of expended ammunition of calibre up to 12.7mm is not added to overall daily statistics.

Fire was delivered at the outskirts of the Shakhta Gagarina settlement on the Gorlovka axis, the Trudovskaya Shakhta settlement on the Donetsk axis and the Novaya Tavriya and Leninskoye villages on the Mariupol axis. The enemy used 120mm mortars and AGS, RPG and SPG grenade launchers, the JCCC said.

It also recorded an explosion in the Kiev-controlled Zhovanka settlement area outside Gorlovka. Supposedly, the explosion was carried out during engineer works.

Reports on Monday said that a house in western Donetsk had been damaged by shelling.

In the previous reporting period, Kiev forces violated the ceasefire twice.

The package of tighter ceasefire control measures came into force in Donbass on July 27, 2020. The document bans the use of all weapons, deployment of hardware, special operations, engineer works and unmanned aerial vehicles flights.*jk
