Donetsk, Nov 6 – DAN. Two DPR service members were killed by Ukrainian attacks on Friday, said DPR People's Militia deputy chief-of-staff Eduard Basurin.
"Ukrainian occupants shelled the Republic killing two of its defenders," he said.
On Friday morning, Ukrainian forces opened mortar fire on the area of the Donetsk Water Treatment Plant (DFS) prompting staff evacuation.
In the previous reporting period, Kiev forces shelled the DPR four times.
The intensity of the attacks has reached the level of July 15, when 180 rounds in a day were fired (though at that time under barrel grenade launcher rounds were not included in the statistics). A higher intensity of fire was recorded half a year ago, on May 16, when the JCCC reported 350 rounds fired at the DPR in one day.
The Contact Group signed the Additional Measures to Strengthen the Ceasefire on July 22 to reinforce and control the indefinite ceasefire in effect since July 21, 2019, the latest in the series of more than 20 reconfirmation and announcements of the “silence regime”. The package came into effect on July 27. The document bans any attacks, amassing equipment, sabotage acts, engineer works, UAV launches, etc. *ot
