Donetsk, Apr 13 – DAN. The Ukrainian army has suffered fifteen hundred defectors since the beginning of the year, said DPR Operations Command deputy commander Eduard Basurin.

"This year, 1,521 gunmen from the Ukrainian army have made unauthorized exits from their units; 815 of them have been detained."

A group of servicemen from the 57th Ukrainian brigade left their unit last week.

Overall, 10 thousand Ukrainian troops have deserted the military action zone in the course of the Donbass conflict, according to the DPR Command. *ot
