Donetsk, May 21 - DAN. Ukrainian army units violated the ceasefire five times over the past 24 hours firing 49 rounds of ammunition at the Donetsk People’s Republic territory, head of the DPR Office at the Joint Centre for Control and Coordination Ruslan Yakubov said on Tuesday.

“Over the past 24 hours, Ukrainian forces violated the ceasefire five times expending 49 rounds of ammunition,” Yakubov said.

Strikes were delivered at the Spartak village and the Zhabichevo neighbourhood in Donetsk outskirts and suburbs, the Vasilyevka village outside Yasinovataya and the Leninskoye village in the south of the Republic, he added.

At around 19:00 on May 20, the Vasilyevka pumping station area came under Ukrainian forces fire. The personnel hid in a shelter.

The enemy used 82mm mortars, infantry fighting vehicle cannons, grenade launchers and small arms. The amount of expended ammunition of calibre up to 12.7mm is not added to overall daily statistics.

In the previous reporting period, Ukrainian army units fired 125 rounds of ammunition at DPR areas.*jk
