Donetsk, Nov 9 – DAN. Ukrainian 54th brigade medical personnel has devised another corruption scheme to sell positive COVID-19 tests to those service members who want to leave the JFO zone sooner, the DPR People's Militia said.
"Many servicemen of the 54th brigade consider early departures on medical grounds. As the coronavirus mass hysteric gains momentum, medical personnel offer positive tests for 10,000 hryvnya, fake treatment included. After that "successfully recovered patients" are redeployed back to their units permanent locations allegedly to recover from the COVID-19 complications," the report reads.
Ukraine is losing control over the pandemic as most of its regions have admitted alarming incidence and lack of treatment facilities. The military receive medical attention only in case they pay for it.
The total number of COVID-19 cases in Ukraine has surpassed 469,000, of those almost 9,000 died. *ot
