Donetsk, 23 Jul - DAN. Ukrainian forces deployed 122mm and 152mm artillery pieces west of Gorlovka in violation of the Minsk provision on withdrawal lines, Donetsk People’s Republic People’s Militia spokesman Daniil Bezsonov said on Tuesday.
“According to the information we received from the Ukraine-controlled territory, a large concentration of enemy hardware was recorded in wooded areas in the vicinity of the Kalinovo and Tarasovka (outside Gorlovka - eds Donetsk News Agency),” Bezsonov said.
The spokesman said that the artillery pieces in question were Akatsiya and Gvozdika self-propelled howitzers of the Ukrainian army’s 92nd Mechanised Brigade.
The Package of Measures for the Implementation of the Minsk Agreements dated February 12, 2015 creates a 50-kilometre security zone for 100mm or larger calibre artillery systems. The distance from Gorlovka to Tarasovka is less than 30 kilometres.*jk*pp
