Donetsk, Apr 3 – DAN. The Joint Forces Operation HQ has intensified the proliferation of fake news on alleged "victories" in Donbass to improve Petr Poroshenko's electoral rating, said the head of the DPR People's Militia command press service Daniil Bezsonov.
"The current president is quickly loosing support judging by the election first round results. He has intensified his campaigning and for that purpose the JFO HQ has activated spreading fake news on taking strategic objects in the grey zone under control."
Last week, Ukrainian media sources said that Gorlovka passed under Kiev control and that a DPR stronghold in Donetsk was destroyed.
"The disinformation is deliberately published by Ukrainian mass media to create a positive image of the Ukrainian army as in reality it is degrading."
The first of Ukrainian presidential election took place on March 31. Preliminary results show that Poroshenko received 15.95 percent of votes losing to Vladimir Zelenskiy. The second tour is scheduled for April 21. *ot
